Spring Term - Issue 107

{item_alt_tag}

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have come to the end of an action-packed spring term! On behalf of all the staff, we would like to wish you and your families a very Happy Easter. We hope you enjoy the time to rest and recharge ready for the summer term.

This week, ten children attended the Xavier Science Fair at ACS Cobham – this was a fantastic opportunity for the children to meet other children from our Xavier family, share their scientific knowledge and learn lots more! The children enjoyed seeing some really exciting experiments with liquid nitrogen, had the chance to try out programming with Raspberry Pi and explore lots of other exhibits.

We were amazed by the entries for the Easter Bonnet and Easter Egg Decoration competitions. It was so hard to choose winners – a lot of deliberations took place (Miss Wilkins might have even modelled some of the bonnets to help with the decisions)

 Well done to:

Collective Worship

This week’s Gospel was when Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. The children were amazing at thinking about the message of this Gospel – how we would trust God, like Martha and Mary. That even when we think it might be too late – God can work miracles and that even if God doesn’t help straight away, he will!

A request

If you are having a spring clean and find any old World Book Day costumes or fancy-dress outfits that your child has now grown out of, we gratefully accept any donations for the children to use at lunchtimes! The ones we have look well-loved and tatty!
