Dear Parents and Carers,
We have made it to the end of term! This final week of term has been full of Advent celebrations and joy. Thank you for your support this term and for all of your very kind messages and Christmas gifts to staff.

Beautiful Advent candles made by Reception
On Tuesday, the CYE team were in school to lead an Advent Assembly for the whole school. This was a great opportunity for Year 6 to meet some of the team who will be with them on their residential in June.
Then on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday evening, KS2 led a beautiful and thought provoking Advent service for their families. The theme of this was Hope – something that keeps us all going in times of struggle. Jesus provided hope for the world when he came into the world over two thousand years ago and continues to being this hope each Christmas.

We celebrated our end of term Mass with the Parish on Thursday morning. Thank you to the children from year 4 and 5 who read so beautifully and served. Well done to all of the children for singing so well when the technology failed me!
Year 1 had a very wet day at Wintershall on Thursday! Such a shame but it was wonderful for them to see the Christmas story brought to life.
After Mass, the whole school enjoyed their Christmas dinners. There were so many clean plates and lots of appreciation from the children for the kitchen staff.

Finally, we joined together for our final Celebrations Collective Worship of 2025 this morning. Well done to all the children who received a certificate for living out our mission for a whole term!
A massive thank you to the Friends for all of their hard work and fundraising this term! We are very grateful for all you do for our school and the children!
Wishing you and your families a very Happy Christmas. Enjoy the break and time together. We look forward to seeing you back in school on Monday 5th January.

Collective Worship

This week we listened to Matthew’s Gospel, when John the Baptist is in prison but wants to know if Jesus is the Messiah, the promised one. John the Baptist knew he had work to be done to prepare the way for Jesus and made his paths straight. We thought about how we prepare the way for Jesus in our lives in Collective Worship on Monday.
