Dear Parents and Carers,
This morning, Year 1 and 2 had a wonderful Sports Day at Glebelands! The younger children showed great resilience, determination, and good sportsmanship. Thank you for being so supportive of the children and staying in your zone/ “pen” 😉
We are very grateful to Gleblelands school for allowing us to use their grounds again and to the Year 9 pupils who helped run the event along with our sports leaders.
A big thank you to Ms. Robson and Mr. Good for their hard work in organising this event and practising with the children leading up to today. It was such a lovely morning – full of joy!

Despite it being a very hot day, Year 5 had a wonderful day at Wintershall on Thursday seeing the Life of Christ. I have heard from staff at Wintershall and members of our Parish that the children were so well-behaved. Thank you Year 5 for being great ambassadors for the school and already showing us you are ready for the responsibilities of Year 6!
Please can the staff ask for your support in ensuring that children only bring in items to school that they need e.g. sun hat, water bottle, packed lunch, book bag/rucksack. We are increasingly having to manage issues where children are bringing unnecessary items such as Pokémon cards, fans, slime into school and then getting upset when it gets lost or damaged. Please could these items stay at home.
Have a lovely weekend - stay cool!

Last Sunday we celebrated The Holy Trinity. The children were amazing at looking at different imagery related to the trinity and being able to reflect on why certain symbols or images were used. Their mission this week was to create their own artwork to represent the Holy Trinity. Here are some examples of their work:

School Uniform
Just a reminder please that hot pants style cycling shorts are not appropriate PE kit. Loose-fitting shorts or just above the knee, cycling shorts are allowed.
Also if you are intending for your child to have their ears pierced over the summer, please ensure that you do this at the start of the holidays so that they have appropriate time to heal. Earrings have to be removed for PE. We cannot be in a position where children are missing the PE curriculum because of earrings. Thank you for your support with this.

YouTube Kids promises a safe, child-centric experience with colourful visuals, age-filtered content, and robust parental controls. Designed to appeal to younger viewers, the app has grown rapidly, being used by tens of millions of children worldwide. But is it as safe as it seems?
Despite YouTube Kids’ safeguards, reports have highlighted worrying issues, such as inappropriate content slipping through filters, subtle advertising, and the use of manipulative design to keep children engaged. This guide explores how to navigate these pitfalls, offering practical advice for making sure children get the most from the platform – without the risks.
