It’s amazing what we’ve managed to pack into a four day week! On Monday some of our Year 6 children took part in a Football tournament at Glebelands involving three other schools. It was great to play on the new 3G pitch and see some great teamwork on display from those dressed in purple. Click the link in this newsletter to read a full report of the girls’ matches. There was more football on Thursday at Tillingbourne School afternoon for children in several year groups.
On Tuesday we welcomed Fraser Ellson who is the new Choral Director for the Arundel and Brighton Diocese. I am delighted to confirm that he will be visiting our school each week for the next two terms to deliver singing lessons for Key stage 2 children as part of the National Schools Singing Programme. More information on this below.
We also enjoyed our Harvest Liturgy on Thursday afternoon. We were bowled over by the amount of produce that the children brought in – this will be a fantastic boost for those that need it.
We are already turning our attention to next academic year with a series of Open Mornings for prospective parents. Please do book with the school office if you have a 3 or 4 year old who wants to join us next year.
You will have received an invitation to book appointments for the forthcoming parents’ evenings. Please ensure that you sign up as soon as possible – teachers are keen to touch base with you at this early stage of the academic year to catch up on how the first few weeks have been for your child.
God bless,
Thomas Hall, Head of School
