- It is an opportunity for pupils to get more involved in the way that the school is run. Each person is voted in by other pupils.
- There are ten pupils on our Council, One pupil is from Year 3, two pupils are from Year 4, three pupils are from Year 5, and four pupils are from Year 6
- It is the responsibility of each Councillor to ensure that they expess both their own views and the views of all the pupils they represent
- It benefits the whole school, pupils and teachers
- It provides opportunities for pupils to communicate their feelings to teachers and staff, as well as influence decisions made.
- It gives the opportunity to develop skills such as confidence, communication and negotiation
